Weekend Event Manager

Job Responsibilities:

  • Anchor Guest Services office during weekend retreats
  • Facilitate smooth retreats by communicating details with group leaders and Pearlstone staff
  • Provide exceptional, warm, friendly guest service at front desk
  • Answer and respond to phone calls and emails
  • Coordinate logistics and details for weekend retreats

Helpful prior skills and experience include:

  • Detail oriented
  • Flexible and reliable
  • Professional appearance
  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Must have the ability to get to your shift on time

General:

  • Attend weekly department meetings.
  • Attend monthly all-staff meetings.
  • Must possess a solid work ethic with strong organizational and time-management skills, excellent attention to detail, professional verbal, and written communication skills in English, as well as provide excellent customer service.
  • Must maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Must be able to adapt to changing situations.
  • Other tasks/duties as assigned.

Working Conditions and Schedule:

This is a non-exempt position that is on site with work hours set to Thursday-Sunday. Schedule is set up 1-2 months in advance, but will vary weekly, depending on retreat group needs, within the following:

  • Thursdays: 2pm-7pm (sometimes, will discuss ahead of time)
  • Friday: 2pm-9pm
  • Saturdays: 8:30am-1:30pm and 5:30pm-9:30pm (sometimes, will discuss ahead of time)
  • Sunday: 10am-5pm

90 Day Check In: Ninety days from date of employment date, there will be a check in between you and your supervisor. Annually thereafter.
