Human Resources Generalist

The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore is seeking a full-time Human Resources (HR) Generalist.

The HR Generalist will assist the department with day-to-day responsibilities related to benefits, retirement plan administration, employee well-being programming, reporting, and data analytics. The HR Generalist will also be responsible for identifying staff training needs, coordinating workshops, and supporting professional development for The Associated. In addition, the HR Generalist may be asked to address employee concerns and conduct investigations under the direction of the Sr. Vice President of HR. The HR Generalist will also assist with talent acquisition efforts as needed. This is a full-time, hybrid position that requires a minimum of two days per week in the office.

What You’ll Do:

• Handles aspects of benefit and retirement plan administration including billing, wires, compliance, reporting and support. Provides administrative support for open enrollment benefits. Assists Benefits Director with internal communications related to benefits and retirement plans, including monthly staff newsletter articles.
• Manages and implements employee wellbeing programming events.
• Identifies staff training needs, helps develop training programs, coordinates training workshops, and supports employee development initiatives.
• Responsible for Quarterly HR Metrics Reports. Collects and analyzes HR data, including employee demographics, turnover rates, talent acquisitions stats, and engagement metrics.
• Supports talent acquisition efforts as needed. Assists with new hire orientation and onboarding.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; PHR/SHRM Certification a plus.
• Four plus years of HR Generalist or work-related experience.
• Familiarity with Ceridian Dayforce or other HRIS system a plus.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
• Ability to streamline and improve processes.
• In depth knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures with the ability to use them in complex and/or unprecedented situations.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and solution-focused.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: starting salary is $70,000; commensurate with experience.
