Event Planning Internship
The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore
Pearlstone Jewish Retreat Center is seeking 1–3 Summer Interns to join our Guest Services team as Event Planning Interns. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in hospitality and event planning at a dynamic retreat center that hosts over 150 retreats annually.
Internship Summary:

Support Guest Services team with administrative and planning tasks

Assist with email communications and customer service for incoming retreat groups

Perform data entry and help manage event details in event management software

Attend select on-site retreats in a beautiful farm setting (optional, based on availability)
Helpful prior skills and experience include:

Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to meet deadlines

Friendly and professional communication skills

Tech-savvy, with some experience in Microsoft Word and Excel

Willingness to learn and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Prior experience in customer service or hospitality a plus, but not required
General:

Attend weekly department meetings when applicable to internship plans.

Must possess a solid work ethic with strong organizational and time-management skills, excellent attention to detail, professional verbal, and written communication skills in English, as well as provide excellent customer service.

Must maintain a professional demeanor.

Must be able to adapt to changing situations.

Other tasks/duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
Interns will be trained on our event management systems. Flexible hours with the option to work remotely. Must be available to work a minimum of 8 hours per week. This is an unpaid position but may lead to a paid opportunity in the fall.
