Social Media and Content Specialist

The Associated and our network of agencies are here to care for those in our community who need us most. We have a rare opportunity for a full-time Social Media and Content Specialist who is a creative, dynamic, and a strategic thinker. This key marketing role will work to leverage digital platforms and write content to increase our brand awareness, brand understanding, and overall engagement.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Crafting and executing an innovative social media strategy by conducting competitive research, determining the right platforms, benchmarking, defining messaging, and identifying target audiences.
  • Generating compelling and shareable content daily, including written text, images, videos, blogs, infographics, or HTML, to establish meaningful connections and inspire community members to take action.
  • Developing and maintaining detailed social media editorial calendars on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to showcase our organization, volunteers, events, campaigns, and initiatives.
  • Amplifying marketing efforts at live events by capturing captivating social media moments.
  • Monitoring social media engagement, identifying high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability.
  • Collaborating seamlessly with the marketing, design, and video teams to align social media initiatives with organizational goals and campaigns.
  • Staying abreast of the latest technologies and platforms and organizing and managing digital assets effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing/communications, digital media, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in social media marketing.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, presentation, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms.
  • Flexibility to quickly adapt to changing directions or trends.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: Salary range $55,000-$62,000 and is commensurate with experience.
