Reports To: Principal. FLSA Classification: Exempt. Position Purpose: Provides comprehensive instruction across all subjects to students in a supportive and engaging environment, fostering academic growth and a love for learning. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field; three years of teaching experience (independent school preferred but not required); valid GA PSC certificate. Ideal candidate: builds positive student relationships; understands child/adolescent development; strong communication; uses effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate activities; maintains a positive learning environment; knowledge of educational technologies. Essential Functions: deliver content-aligned instruction; promote active learning; assess and report progress; provide feedback; maintain records; meet with parents; implement classroom management; supervise students in various settings; participate in meetings/professional development; other duties as assigned. Physical requirements: desk/computer work; classroom environment; intermittent outdoor conditions.
