The Alfred and Adele Davis Academy seeks a long-term substitute library teacher with at least 3 years of elementary teaching experience. In the Fall, this position would be full-time August–November serving students in grades Pre-K through 5th. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree or certification in Education; graduate degree preferred in Library Sciences or Education. Responsibilities include implementing daily lesson plans for Kindergarten Prep–5th; collaborating with team; assessing student learning and adjusting instruction; maintaining classroom order; effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues; using varied instructional materials; modeling appropriate technology use; other duties as assigned; collaborating with Media Assistant. Qualifications include strong teaching skills, classroom/library management, student engagement, and professional communication. The Davis Academy is located in Sandy Springs and serves approximately 550 students in Kindergarten Prep–Eighth grade.
