Position Overview
Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills seeks a highly organized, creative, and detail-oriented Communications & Digital Content Coordinator to support the temple’s day-to-day communications, digital engagement, and marketing efforts.
This role is responsible for coordinating and executing a wide range of digital communications across email, website, social media, livestream platforms, and visual content creation. The ideal candidate is collaborative, proactive, technologically savvy, and able to manage multiple projects in a nonprofit environment while maintaining a warm and community-centered voice consistent with the temple’s mission and brand.
The Communications & Digital Content Coordinator will work closely with clergy, staff, and the temple’s external marketing consultant to ensure timely, accurate, and engaging communications for the congregation and broader community.
This position may be performed primarily remotely/virtually, with occasional onsite hours for staff
meetings, special events, holiday programming, and other in-person coordination needs.

Primary Responsibilities
Email & Congregational Communications
• Manage and distribute weekly and recurring communications through Mailchimp, including:
o ChaiLights
o Shabbat reminders
o ECC and Family Center communications
o Program and event announcements
• Format, proofread, and schedule communications to ensure consistency, clarity, and brand
alignment.
• Coordinate with clergy and staff to gather content, updates, and announcements for weekly and special communications.
Website & Calendar Management
• Maintain and update the temple website with current programming, event information,
announcements, and other content updates.
• Post and manage events, registration forms, and calendar updates in a timely manner.
• Organize weekly Shabbat service assets, announcements, and related digital materials.

Social Media & Text Communications
• Schedule and manage social media content across temple platforms using provided content and communications strategy.
• Assist in creating engaging digital content that supports temple programming, holidays, events, and community engagement.
• Manage and schedule Textedly communications and reminders.
Graphic Design & Digital Asset
• Produce and update templated and original graphics in Canva consistent with temple branding
guidelines.
• Adapt and resize existing materials for email, social media, website, and print use.
• Create and update graphics including, but not limited to:
o B’nai mitzvah graphics
o Simcha banners
o Yahrzeit graphics
o Event promotions
o Holiday and program collateral

Livestream & Digital Event Support

• Upload, schedule, and manage Vimeo events and livestream-related assets.
• Support coordination of digital service and event communications related to livestream
programming.
Collaboration & Coordination
• Work collaboratively with clergy and administrative staff on communication needs and
deadlines.
• Coordinate with Megillah Media, the temple’s contracted marketing consultant, on marketing
initiatives, branding consistency, and communications planning.
• Help maintain organized digital files, templates, and communications assets.

Qualifications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience with Mailchimp or similar email marketing platforms.
• Proficiency in Canva and familiarity with basic graphic design principles.
• Experience managing websites and social media platforms.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
simultaneously.
• Comfort working independently while collaborating closely with a team.
• Familiarity with livestream platforms, Vimeo, or digital event support is preferred.
• Experience working in a nonprofit, synagogue, school, or arts environment is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, graphic design, journalism, digital media, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent professional experience in communications, digital marketing, or content creation
will also be considered.

Hours & Compensation
• Part-time position, up to fifteen (15) hours per week.
• Position may be performed primarily remotely, with some onsite hours required for meetings,
events, and periodic in-person support.
• Compensation: $30 per hour.
