Facility Maintenance Lead

Temple Emanu-El is a busy synagogue on the East Side of Providence, RI. We need a year round friendly, reliable hands-on maintenance person for a long term commitment. Our campus is a non-smoking, non-vaping, drug-free environment.

You must have experience working independently with minimal direction and also have the ability to function as a team player with our existing maintenance staff. You should be adaptable to frequently changing priorities and handle multiple ongoing projects in our large campus. The ability to learn new systems is critical.

The regular work week is 35 hours from Tuesday through Saturday 7:00AM – 3:00PM. Overtime potential exists with authorization. The starting pay stated is commensurate with experience.

Required Job Functions: (include, but are not limited to)

• Basic electrical, plumbing, painting, general building & mechanical repair
• Ladder use, small roof repairs or patching, exterior drain cleaning
• Pressure washing, deep cleaning and carpet care
• Computer literate (Google Suite)
• Must have a valid driver license and reliable transportation
• Landscaping, Snow Removal, Grounds maintenance
• Knowledge of audio/visual and livestream set-up of iPad OR the ability to learn.
• Event set-up and break down of chairs & tables, dishwasher use
• Cleaning: restrooms, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, wiping, washing, polishing, buffing & dusting of floors, carpet & upholstery, walls, windows, stairwells, offices and other areas as required.
• Trash and recycling removal

Job Specific Physical Demands: (include, but are not limited to)

Standing, Walking, Lifting, Bending, Pulling, Repetitive Movements. Work is conducted inside and outside in all weather.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
