KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

· Ability to create and maintain authentic relationships with teens and adults

· Ability to engage parents and congregational leadership as partners in teen work

· Ability to bring new ideas and implement them

· Ability to utilize computer skills, software and work with databases; some experience preferred

· Ability to multi-task, meet pressing deadlines and anticipate needs

· Ability to work with teens and have experience in teen programming

· Ability to maintain confidentiality

· Excellent planning, organization, interpersonal, and communication skills

· Excellent problem solving, and attention to detail

· Attends in-service training, when necessary

· Model appropriate conduct and values

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

· Degree in Jewish education, education and/or Judaic studies preferred and/or at least three years of related experience working with teens in a congregational and/or camp setting

· Comfortable with the Hebrew language and understanding of Jewish customs and values, and working in a Reform environment

· Knowledgeable of the Jewish calendar and customs

· Experience with NFTY or other Jewish youth movements preferred

· Child CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to acquire

This position is an Exempt, Full-Time (40 hour per week) plus weekend events – Days/Time are flexible. This position is primarily located on our west campus in Boca Raton, Florida at 9800 Yamato Road. Salary range is $47,000-$50,000 and is commensurate with relevant work experience. All candidates must pass a Level II background screening and a drug test in order to be considered for this position.
