Temple Akiba of Culver City is seeking teachers for our TK–5th grade and 6th–8th grade Judaica programs, as well as our 4th–6th grade Hebrew program.

We are seeking energetic and enthusiastic individuals who not only want to teach but also cultivate community with our students. Our program inspires learners to explore their Jewish identity with curiosity, compassion, and wonder. We approach Jewish learning through movement, music, art, games, holiday celebrations, and more.

The salary range is $30-$60/hr. (based on experience) plus paid prep and training hours at the same hourly rate.

Schedule

(TK-5th grade Judaica) meets Sundays from 9am-12pm

(4th-6th grade Hebrew) meets Tuesdays from 4pm-5:30pm

(6th-8th grade Judaica) meets Tuesdays from 6pm-8pm

What You Will Do:

• Prepare weekly lessons with the provided curriculum outlines/resources
• Communicate with parents through monthly emails
• Attend occasional staff meetings/professional development sessions
• Build relationships with students and parents
• Collaborate with other teachers
• Attend one grade-based Friday night Shabbat service a year
