About the Role
The Manager of Program Strategy & Acceleration is a dynamic project management role that helps bring to life the many programs, events, and experiences that define the SJCC. This position supports cross-departmental collaboration, centralizes planning, and ensures we’re allocating our people, time, and resources in ways that maximize impact.
You’ll work directly with program leaders across the agency to streamline systems, drive innovation, and create smart, scalable processes that help us better serve our community. From logistics and timelines to communications and evaluations, you’ll be at the center of our program delivery engine—accelerating progress every step of the way.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and coordinate agency-wide projects—from kick-off to execution—with clear communication and meticulous planning.
- Partner with department heads to support major initiatives, align resources, and ensure deliverables stay on track and on budget.
- Build and refine project systems and internal workflows that support consistency, clarity, and growth.
- Manage timelines, logistics, and milestones across multiple departments and stakeholders.
- Track and analyze project outcomes, offering clear updates and data-informed recommendations.
- Collaborate with the Data Specialist to support program evaluation and continuous improvement efforts.
- Strengthen relationships across teams and with external partners to keep collaboration strong and purposeful.
- Be a strategic thought partner in anticipating challenges and preparing for future initiatives.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in project management; nonprofit or community-based experience a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, nonprofit management, public administration, or a related field preferred but not required.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, MS Planner) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional organization, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience managing timelines, budgets, and diverse teams or stakeholders.
- A self-starter mindset with a strong ability to prioritize and juggle multiple responsibilities.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and working in fast-paced, mission-driven environments.
- Passion for community building, inclusion, and impact.
