JOB SUMMARY
Supports the head day camp nurse in maintaining the infirmary and managing the health and safety of campers and staff during summer camp season.

Salary: Ranges from $17 - $25 per hour depending on certifications and experience
Dates: Monday June 29 - Friday August 21 Monday through Friday (no camp July 3)
Hours: 8am - 4pm

ABOUT YOU
You are actively enrolled in a nursing program or have pediatric experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
You are capable of performing the following tasks:
- triaging minor injuries
- dispensing medications
- managing medical inventory
- and maintaining accurate treatment logs.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Health Center Support: Assist the camp nurse in evaluating illnesses, providing first aid for minor cuts/sprains, and supervising campers admitted to the infirmary.
- Medication Administration: Help organize camper medications and assist the primary nurse in dispensing daily/as-needed medications according to physician prescriptions.
- Intake and Screening: Assist with camper drop-in and check-in processes, which include reviewing health history forms and checking for signs of communicable diseases or conditions like lice.
- Supply & Sanitation: Conduct inventory audits, restock infirmary beds, and prepare first aid kits for off-campus trips and campsite activities.
- Logistics & Communication: Maintain detailed, confidential logs of all infirmary visits.
- Minimum age of 18
- EMT Certification preferred
- Current CPR/First Aid certifications
- Completion of at least one year of college is required.
