JOB OBJECTIVE:
Responsible for planning/developing and directing the Department for People with Disabilities, including services/programs and activities for individuals with various disabilities and their families while reflecting the agency’s goals, purposes and mission. In addition, consultation with JCC staff /volunteers regarding inclusion and community integration.

In addition, consultation with JCC staff /volunteers regarding inclusion and community integration.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee a range of programs and services for individuals with developmental and physical disabilities including but not limited to day habilitation, general recreation, day camp, after-school programs, annual events, funding and weekend recreation/respite
- Oversight/supervision and consultation with Marvin’s Camp, a camp for children with a continuum of developmental and physical disabilities along with inclusion programs within the traditional day camp
- Develop and oversee all events for this population, their families and the community
- Supervise and hire staff, student interns and volunteers
- All other projects as assigned by supervisor
- Provide effective and regular communication with staff/parents/funders
- Investigate and expand programs to reflect growing need, increase program enrollment/revenue
- Collaborate with other agencies serving similar populations
- Act as the liaison for the Department for People with Disabilities
- Network and participate in citywide committee structures and groupings as appropriate
- Regulatory compliance required by grant funding, local and federal law
- At least three years’ experience working with individuals with disabilities
- Experience developing creative programming for persons with disabilities
- Knowledge of OPWDD funding and regulatory guidelines
- Ability to collaborate with other agencies and community at large
- 2 years’ supervisory experience
- Master’s degree in related field preferred
- Full-time
- 40 Hours per week/12 months a year
- Salary: $75,000-$80,000 annually
