Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate, highly motivated, organized, team-oriented litigator with approximately 10+ years of experience to join our legal team in a full-time capacity.
The new role of Litigation Counsel and Director of Community Affairs will focus on our growing practice of strategic impact litigation and community intake, our fastest growing area. This position will report directly to the StandWithUs Saidoff Law Director and the StandWithUs Director of Legal Policy and Litigation.
The job will involve speaking with community members about antisemitism-related legal issues by conducting intake calls, helping community members assess incidents to determine what is legally actionable, and exploring their potential options and remedies with them. The attorney will then follow through on the appropriate legal response, including drafting demand letters, coordinating with pro bono counsel when relevant, conducting legal research, analyzing legal issues and remedies, and conducting litigation as warranted.
This work involves a range of issues including defamation, criminal law, public accommodation, hostile work environment, discrimination and harassment, and doxxing. While it may at times include educational issues, these will not be an area of focus in the position.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct intake calls with community members to assess potential legal issues related to antisemitism or anti-Zionism.
- Draft demand letters and coordinate with pro bono counsel as needed.
- Conduct legal research, analyze remedies, and pursue litigation when appropriate.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure coordinated organizational responses.
- Represent StandWithUs and Saidoff Law in community engagement and outreach.
Required Qualifications
- J.D. and active license to practice law in the United States.
- Approximately 10+ years as a litigator.
- Strong writing, editing, analytical, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge about Israel and antisemitism/anti-Zionism.
- Self-motivated, organized, reliable, collaborative, proactive, and able to multitask.
- Passion for the StandWithUs mission of supporting Israel and fighting antisemitism.
Role Details
- Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Location: Remote, within the United States.
- Start Date: Immediate; applications reviewed on a rolling basis.

Compensation
- Competitive salary for nonprofit sector, commensurate with experience, education, and availability.
- Salary range: $130,000-$150,000/year.
