Campus Educator, Vancouver

Vancouver, Canada

StandWithUs Canada is a non-partisan Israel education organization that inspires and educates people of all ages and backgrounds about Israel, challenges misinformation, and fights antisemitism.

The Campus Educator, Vancouver, will oversee our work with university and college students in Vancouver, including mentoring our StandWithUs Emerson Fellows. They will be a member of a dynamic team of passionate professionals and work with various student and community groups to provide education and resources. This position is suited for someone passionate about empowering the next generation with the knowledge and tools they need to tell Israel’s story and fight antisemitism as a leader and/or upstander in their school and local community—while also cultivating their own professional skills in the areas of project management, public speaking, event planning, mentorship, and networking.

The primary responsibilities include managing Vancouver area students participating in StandWithUs Canada’s leadership programs for university students. They also include helping to grow our community footprint in Vancouver. This position will be responsible for liaising with community members and partners to provide proactive education throughout the community while serving as a “first responder” to issues of antisemitism and anti-Israel activity.

The successful candidate will also support local educational efforts and lead outreach initiatives by working closely with partners and relevant organizations to assess and support the needs of the Vancouver communities. Beyond their work with students, they will plan and facilitate programming for the community with the support of the Associate and Executive Director. The Educator will promote historically accurate education about the Jewish people and Israel, using StandWithUs Canada’s highly researched and well-resourced curricula.
