Description
Primary fundraising administrator who will process and acknowledge gifts, serve as point person for tribute gifts, coordinate information needed for grant applications and reporting, create Classy Pages and support the overall philanthropy efforts for the Agency.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary donations processor which includes entry into our database (built on Salesforce) preparing deposits according to Accounting Department guidelines, reconciling deposits daily, etc. Donation types include, but are not limited to sponsorships, individual donations, corporate donations, foundations, grants, stock gifts, etc.
- Prepare and send donor correspondence such as thank you letters, donation acknowledgements, tributes, sponsorship letters, tax letters, etc.
- Coordinate collection of organizational and program documents required for grant applications and report.
- Maintain grant opportunities, status updates, and records in Salesforce.
- Communicate and coordinate grant-related deadlines and document and meeting requests with internal stakeholders and our consulting firm.
- Serve as main contact for the J’s United Way campaign
- Assist with uploading acknowledgement letter templates into Salesforce system.
- Support IT efforts to manage databases. Analyze, segment, and clean data as needed. Maintain data integrity.
- Process and track registrations for fundraising events
- Create Classy pages for all “mini” campaigns or fundraising efforts.
- Assist the Manager of Philanthropy Operations with preparing lists for donor recognition signage.
- Provide exemplary customer service to both internal and external customers. Answer customer inquiries about Philanthropy, typically via email and telephone, including being point person for tributes
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- College degree in closely related field is preferred.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in database management is preferred.
- Prior customer service experience in a fast-paced environment is required.
- Prior development, accounts receivable, or accounts payable experience is desired.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Demonstrated ability to learn new software applications as necessary for position. Prior experience with Salesforce or other donor database software highly preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Able to bend and lift objects weighing up to 20 pounds, work seated at a desk, move throughout the buildings.
