Summary
The Membership Sales Coordinator is responsible for driving membership growth through new sales, upgrades, and renewals, as well as promoting and selling additional J services.
The role emphasizes sales generation, customer service excellence, and collaborative efforts with various departments to meet organizational goals.
Drive revenue growth by generating internal and external leads, upselling services, promoting renewals, and securing corporate partnerships. Consistently apply exceptional lead generation and follow-up strategies to maximize sales outcomes.
- Consistently achieve and exceed individual monthly sales goals and contribute to team targets.
- Interpret business results and make recommendations on what strategies to repeat or eliminate.
- Collect and provide management with competitive analysis data to improve selling strategies.
- Demonstrated success in securing, scheduling, and conducting facility tours for prospective members; effectively address objections and close sales with confidence.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, providing courteous, knowledgeable, and solutions-focused support; utilizing strong listening skills to address and resolve membership inquiries and concerns.
- Thoroughly understand and promote all J programs and services to current and prospective members, acting as an informed ambassador for the organization.
- Document, execute, and track all sales processes and procedures with precision to ensure consistent and measurable outcomes.
- Contribute to marketing efforts by assisting in the development of promotional materials and events aimed at enhancing membership lead generation.
- Enforce facility policies and procedures to maintain safety and a positive environment. Remain knowledgeable and follow all J procedures regarding accidents, emergencies, and incidents.
- Support daily operations by helping maintain a clean, safe, welcoming, and professional environment throughout the facility.
- Provide front desk support during peak hours, ensuring exceptional customer service and operations.
- Establish strong collaboration with other departments and peers.
- Participate actively in staff, committee, and board meetings, conferences, and other organizational activities, including volunteer engagements.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned to support organizational goals and member satisfaction.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma. Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of sales and customer service experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Sales Force; ability to learn new systems.
- Preferred background in fitness or wellness.
- Availability for evening and weekend shifts.
- Strong communication, sales, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to communicate verbally in a clear, concise, and motivating manner, while at the same time being an effective listener.
- Self-motivated team player with a customer-focused mindset.
- Understanding of competitive market and sales strategies.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, sit at a desk, walk throughout the facility, stoop/bend, reach, talk, hear, and lift or move up to 50 pounds.
