About Us The St. Louis Jewish Community Center (the J) has been providing excellent health and cultural experiences for the entire community for over 140 years.

Summary:

Responsible for the J’s video presence, as well as the J’s comprehensive online digital storytelling. This includes video production for promotional video and branded storytelling; photography to capture the J story in still form; social media support; graphic creation and more. This person will work across interdepartmental teams to create video and digital content for multiple projects, campaigns, audiences and outcomes. The ideal candidate is someone with a background in video production who also possesses strong storytelling, photography, and digital content creation.

This is an hourly position and requires some evening and weekend hours, as needed, to cover events and programs.

Responsibilities:

• Strategize and create video content to drive J marketing initiatives, to promote J programs and events, support fundraising opportunities and more.
• Manage online video content across multiple platforms such as jccstl.org, YouTube, social media, etc.
• Collaborate closely with internal staff and external stakeholders to help facilitate the creation of video content.
• Develop production schedules.
• Record and edit video and sound projects, including selecting program format for final output, capturing/importing media, organizing raw media, editing footage and sound files, creating and inserting static and motion graphics, titling, adding music/voice-over/sfx, media management and archiving project media.
• Maintain and grow the St. Louis Jewish Community Center’s video, photography, and digital graphics library in a way that enforces our mission, engages our audiences, and supports initiatives.
• Seek out and implement newest online content & trends.
• Maintain and organize historical video and photography footage.
• Produce online content to support and promote J programs and events through jccstl.org, social media, email marketing and J presentations.
• Work collaboratively with J program staff to collect, generate, and publish additional online content for jccstl.org, social media, and partner websites.
• Maintain multimedia content on online properties: videos, long-form storytelling and more.
• Maintain and update the J’s photo library by acting as photographer at J programs and events.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Film, Media, Communications or related field is preferred.
• Two+ years of professional experience in video production, digital content creation or management, online marketing or social media is preferred, may include internships.
• Excellent written communication and proofreading skills required.
• Expert knowledge of video production (e.g., After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro) is required.
• Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and maintain quality is required.
• Ability to work independently, as well as in teams, is required.
• Expert Knowledge in WordPress, social media platforms and analytics is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products is required.
• Experience with creating Vlogs and Podcasts a plus but not required.
• Passion for and knowledge of Jewish topics a plus but not required.
