Schechter Boston is looking for experienced Piano Teachers to teach private lessons..

As a music teacher at Schechter, you’ll be teaching private lessons to students in grade 4-8 (beginner, advanced beginner and intermediate levels) helping them develop their technical skills while fostering a deep understanding and appreciation for music. Teachers are supported by a music lesson team lead who will help them with best practices for each student. Our ideal candidates are patient, enthusiastic educators who are committed to tailoring lessons to meet the unique needs and interests of each student.

Teachers are paid $30-$35 per 30 minute lesson. All lesson scheduling is done by the After School Music Program. We offer lessons from 3:00pm-6:00pm, Monday-Thursday. We are looking for teachers for 1-4 days per week.

All candidates must have a degree in music/music education and experience teaching private lessons to children.

Responsibilities:

• Provide engaging and comprehensive music lessons to students
• Develop personalized lesson plans based on students’ skill levels and goals
• Teach music theory technique and performance skills
• Foster a positive and supportive learning environment
• Prepare students for recitals
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback for improvement
• Communicate with parents
• Work collaboratively with music team
