The Dean of Students is a vital leadership role focused on the holistic development of the student body of approximately 350 students from Grades 1–6. While the Principal leads the academic and strategic vision, the Dean is the primary architect of student well-being, and co-curricular life. This role requires a dynamic leader who can bridge the gap between academic expectations and personal growth. The Dean is responsible for maintaining a safe, inclusive, and high-spirit environment by balancing firm behavioural accountability with compassionate mentorship and data-driven interventions. The Dean of Students reports to the Principal and supervises students, Extra-Curricular Staff, and School Monitors, in collaboration with the Principal. They are evaluated annually by the Principal based on the efficiency of co-curricular programming, the effectiveness of behavioural intervention systems and overall leadership ability. Qualifications and Attributes:- Educational Background: Master’s degree in Education, School Counseling, or Educational Leadership (preferred).- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data management and the ability to translate behavioural trends into actionable school-wide strategies.- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills; able to navigate high-stakes conversations with empathy and clarity. Fluency in English with strong French proficiency in oral communications, reading and writing.- Logistical Prowess: Highly organized with the ability to manage complex schedules and digital portal systems.- Knowledge of Hebrew and familiarity with Jewish customs and practices is an asset.
