We need you to join our team as a Painter

Sinai Residences is seeking a service-driven, professional Painter responsible for servicing this Community.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

Paint

• Prepare and paint surfaces using techniques and tools, including, but not limited to, measuring surfaces, applying spackle and plaster, mixing paint, matching paint, and using brushes, rollers, and spray guns.

• Install and repair covered wall and ceiling surfaces, including but not limited to, hanging vinyl paper, fabric, and foil wall coverings.

• Maintain and repair caulked, grouted, wood, and masonry surfaces requiring staining, varnishing, and lacquering.

• Fit and measure inspection hatches

• Inform the Supervisor when supply inventory is required.

Maintenance Tasks

Under direct supervision of the Senior Manager and Refurb Manager,

performs the following:

• Electrical - Test receptacles and change light bulbs.

• Plumbing – plunge toilets and unclog sinks.

• HVAC– clean coils and change filters

• TV – fix remote control issues.

• Appliances – work controls and change out appliances (stoves, refrigerator, microwaves, washer/dryer, dishwasher, etc.).

• Vehicle maintenance – Do routine maintenance on select vehicles when assigned.

• Maintain all tools, equipment, and supplies in proper condition.

• Setups, and additional duties as assigned to assist with maintenance needs.

Other Duties:

• Perform specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

• During emergencies or natural disasters will be required to be on duty for the duration of the disaster.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum of 3 years of painting experience is required.

• One year’s experience in maintenance is required.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Technical schooling and/or background preferred. Demonstrated ability to follow instructions, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Moderate to heavy physical effort; may be exposed to the elements (heat, cold, rain, snow); work in areas with high voltage electricity, hazardous equipment, and moving parts; work on rooftops and other high places; ability to set up and climb ladders safely with tools and equipment necessary for assigned work; must be able to lift 50 pounds; must be able to walk, stand and stoop for an extended period (over 80% of the time); exposure to a variety of chemicals and dust daily; may be exposed to the HBV and HIV viruses.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Must be able to stand or walk for up to 8 hours per day. Must be able to bend, stoop, and stretch frequently throughout the day. Moderate to heavy physical effort needed infrequently. Manual dexterity for preparing food. Ability to use standard industrial kitchen appliances required. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. independently. May be exposed to extreme temperatures (freezers and stove-range burners) for short periods of time. May be exposed to industrial cleaning chemicals. Must be able to see, hear, and communicate with others.
