Shalom Task Force (STF) seeks to combat and prevent domestic violence in the Jewish community to help those that may not have access to traditional services and need culturally sensitive programming.
The Accessibility and Inclusion Coordinator is responsible for leading the implementation of a federally funded initiative supported by the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) at the U.S. Department of Justice. This three-year project focuses on the intersection of domestic violence, sexual assault, and disabilities, aiming to enhance service delivery for survivors in the Orthodox Jewish community- an underserved population.
The coordinator will analyze systems, identify gaps, and develop strategies to improve outcomes through collaboration, training, and evaluation. Working closely with partner agencies and stakeholders, they will assess current systems serving women with disabilities and victims of interpersonal violence, identify gaps, and implement strategies to address them. Reporting to Senior Leadership, the Coordinator will ensure successful execution of program goals and strict compliance with funding requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Community Collaboration Partner with STF and Ohel (Grant Project Core Group as grant project partners) to achieve project goals. Engage victims, service providers, and stakeholders to gather input and feedback. Foster collaboration among diverse stakeholders to meet project objectives. Solicit input and guidance from the Grant Project Core Group.
- Strategic Planning and Implementation Conduct comprehensive needs assessments, including focus groups and stakeholder interviews. Identify service gaps and develop a strategic plan to address them. Provide reports, statistics, and other documentation required for federal reporting. Align project activities with grant goals and objectives.
- Training and Technical Assistance Develop and deliver training and technical assistance to partner agencies and organizations. Create tailored curricula and resources to improve service delivery for individuals with disabilities affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking.
- Evaluation and Reporting Design and implement data collection processes to monitor project impact. Analyze data and prepare reports to meet federal and organizational reporting requirements.
- Relationship Building and Engagement Build and maintain relationships with partner agencies, stakeholders, and the project’s core team. Represent the project at local, state, and national meetings. Communicate regularly with the funding agency and technical assistance providers.
- Agency Involvement Attend staff meetings, committee discussions, and required training sessions. Collaborate with internal teams to align project activities with organizational priorities. Manage day-to-day project operations to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, criminal justice, or a related field (required); Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in project management, training, or collaboration-building.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with issues related to disabilities, domestic violence, and sexual assault.
- Skills: Strong leadership, facilitation, organizational, and writing skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data collection tools.
- Travel: This position requires travel 2-3 times a year to attend mandatory OVW trainings.
Hours and Salary: This position will be 4 days a week (32 Hours).** **Salary range is between $50,000-$60,000 commensurate with experience.
