Position Summary: Performs light housekeeping and chores for older adults. Position will be 3 days at one location in Woodside, Queens and 2 days at another location in Fresh Meadows, Queens.

Principal Responsibilities:

  1. Clean clients' apartments including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, cleaning surfaces and changing bed linens.
  2. Wash, dry and fold clients’ laundry.
  3. Provide light shopping for clients.
  4. Report on client condition any concerns regarding a client to supervisor and professional staff.
  5. Participate in the scheduling of appointments.
  6. Maintain records of services provided including entering information the program's data base
  7. Perform other duties as needed or requested.
  8. Adheres to organization’s standards by completing annual mandatory trainings in a timely manner on topics including – but not limited to – Sexual Harassment Prevention Training, IT Security Awareness, Compliance, OSHA, HIPAA and any other training the organization may deem necessary in regards to regulatory compliance or good business practices.
  9. Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers.
  10. Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance and health and safety standards.

Salary Ranges: $17 per hour with benefits and generous PTO/sick leave

Job Competencies & Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or at least one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Able to multi-task and work independently with a great attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills

Working Conditions/Physical Demand:

  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes or airborne particles, and occasional risk of electrical shock and exposure to pathogens.
