Position Summary: Working closely with the Executive Director of Selfhelp Foundation, this role is responsible for managing the donor database, and generating accurate reports. Plays an integral role in the implementation of special events and projects. Supports office functions of the Development Department, including management of files, routine correspondence, calendars, and telephone communications. Coordinates departmental mailings.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Manages and maintains donor database ensuring data integrity.
  • Generates regular analytical, financial, and statistical Bloomerang reports, and special reports as needed.
  • Oversees the preparation of a Dashboard, showing contributions to date by categories and comparisons to the prior year.
  • Plays an integral role with Special Events, including the Annual Gala, Fall Classic, 5K, and dedication ceremonies.
  • Oversight of, all purchase orders, check requests and other internal forms.
  • Coordinates mailings related to newsletters, annual reports, invitations, etc.
  • Prepares routine departmental correspondence.
  • Maintains departmental files and records ensuring compliance with agency standards
  • Performs routine office functions, including copying, faxing, mail distribution, monitors and orders office supplies answering calls and maintaining calendars
  • Prepares research on donor prospects as needed.
  • Assists Executive Director of Foundation with SCS Foundation Board, Committee on Directors and Selfhelp NexGen meeting preparation and event coordination.
  • Responsible for compiling the following information for Selfhelp’s Annual report: program statistics, organizational affiliation lists, and donor lists. Instrumental in coordinating photo shoots as well as proofing content and layout.
  • Works on special projects as needed.
  • Adhere to organization’s standards by completing annual mandatory trainings in a timely manner on topics including – but not limited to – Sexual Harassment Prevention Training, IT Security Awareness, Compliance, OSHA, HIPAA and any other training the organization may deem necessary in regards to regulatory compliance or good business practices.
  • Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationships with co-workers.
  • Adheres to the organization’s policy in regard to absenteeism and appearance

Salary Range: $64,350 - $68,000 per year commensurate with experience

Job Competencies & Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; will consider associate’s degree with consummate experience
  • Must have at least two years of experience in multi-tasked development environment; will consider associate’s degree with 3-5 years of experience
  • Must be computer literate with advanced skills in Word, Excel, and CRM software. Experience with Bloomerang software a plus.
  • Proficiency in database software may be considered in lieu of fundraising software.
  • Problem solving abilities while multi-tasking; ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills

Working Conditions/Physical Demand

  • Business Office Environment with phone and computer use
  • Hybrid work schedule with 3 days per week in office and more during special projects
  • On occasion will work weekends and evenings during special events.
