Position Summary: Prepares and conducts classes, including coordinating the curriculum, schedule, instruction, and insuring equipment is properly functioning.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Instruct classes and assist students as needed following the established curriculum outlines.
  • Develop teaching materials, and otherwise prepare class materials.
  • Ensure room and any necessary equipment are set up and ready for use and clean room after class.
  • Maintain class attendance records and submit to Social Worker or Program Director.
  • Collect contributions and deliver to Social Worker or Program Director.
  • Elicit participants’ recommendations to improve class; meet with staff to determine satisfaction and implementation of new ideas and addresses any specific needs of participants.
  • Mediate any disputes that may arise within the class and communicate any needs or complaints of the senior participants to the Social Worker or Program Director.
  • Recruit new students as appropriate.
  • Troubleshoot minor problems with hardware and software, and communicate any needs or complaints of the senior participants to the Social Worker or Program Director.
  • Remain current with technology and recommend new technology (hardware and software) as appropriate.
  • Call each class member and staff to advise them when unable to come to work.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.
  • Adhere to organization’s standards by completing annual mandatory trainings in a timely manner on topics including – but not limited to – Sexual Harassment Prevention Training, IT Security Awareness, Compliance, OSHA, HIPAA and any other training the organization may deem necessary in regards to regulatory compliance or good business practices.
  • Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers.
  • Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance and health and safety standards.

Salary Ranges: $35 - $40 per session commensurate with experience

Job Competencies & Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient in using both IOS and Android (Galaxy) and Window systems.
  • Excellent verbal, mathematical, and written skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Able to multi-task and work independently with great attention to detail
  • Bi-lingual preferred.

Working Conditions/Physical Demand:

  • Business office environment with phone and computer use.
  • Must lift and/or move up to 10 to 25 pounds.
