Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of sample preparation and analysis procedures to quantitatively measure chemical and physical properties in a variety of matrices: air, dust, food, soil, solid, and/or water
Operate and maintain basic analytical equipment and instruments
Perform basic chemistry tasks such as pipetting, volumetric measurements, and the utilization of analytical balances
Perform basic calculations and conversions, and compile the data obtained
Understand and adhere to standard operating procedures and quality control procedures established for each analytical method
Support all sample-related activities, including preservation, preparation, and disposal
Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as needed
Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the manager
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or closely related science required
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Some laboratory experience either in academic or commercial setting is a plus
Ability to distinguish colors in order to perform analysis
Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 25lbs and standing for various lengths of time
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability and a positive attitude
Effective time management, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimal assistance
Available Shifts:
Position is full time, Tuesday to Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
