Salary Range:$65,000.00 To $70,000.00 Annually

Plan holistic services that support the emotional, physical, and social well-being of individuals with IDD in their homes and in community settings. Supervise a team of Direct Support Professional’s to ensure the needs of clients are being met. Work with the Regional Director of Disability Services to ensure new client acquisition, staff acquisition and retention, and scheduling. Work with the Activities Coordinator to ensure access to Weinberg-specific activities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain oversight of all clients’ needs and staff pairings
  • Work with Regional Director of Disability Services and Business Development Coordinator on client acquisition
  • Work with Human Resources team on staff acquisition and retention
  • Provide initial consultation of system service offerings and review potential client needs
  • Upon reviewing clinical and supporting documentation, work with residential services team to carry out in-person screening assessment
  • Create supportive services plans to be carried out by DSPs
  • Pair appropriate DSP staffing coverage with clients to carry out plans
  • Participates in the training of new and existing employees under the direction of the Assistant Director of Operations of Weinberg Commons.
  • Assists with refresher and one-on-one training for Direct Support Professionals as needed.
  • Attends Admin Meetings and Group/Committee Meetings as requested.
  • Participates in DSP feedback and corrective action discussions with Associate Director of Weinberg Commons as needed
  • Works in partnership with JFSNJ finance team to track billable hours
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Associates/Bachelor’s degree, high school diploma, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • 5 years of hands-on experience working with individuals with disabilities in a residential or community setting, knowledge of person-centered planning and community resources for individuals with disabilities. Demonstrate an understanding of inclusion and compassion.
  • Ability to handle pressure in a crisis and demonstrate good judgement, flexibility, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and integrity in dealing with confidential issues, ability to work independently and execute good reasoning and judgement.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule as needed.
  • Meet all employee standards required by DDD.
  • Cooperates with the licensee and Department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation.
  • Driver’s license valid in the state of New Jersey and a clean driving record.
  • Submit to a criminal background check and be determined to be not disqualified by the Department of Human Services prior to working with individuals served.
  • Agree to have their name checked against the Central Registry of Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities
  • Shall submit to drug testing and receive a clear drug screen prior to employment.
  • Shall submit to drug testing conducted randomly and for cause.
  • Shall complete an application to have their name checked against the Child Abuse Registry Information (CARI).
  • Must successfully complete and demonstrate proficiency in all areas of required training, including but not limited to specialized trainings, online trainings, CPR and crisis management.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of inclusion, compassion and can problem solve with individuals with disabilities and their families

Technical Experience:

  • Advanced Level PC skills: Microsoft Office Suite –

Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Access.

  • Ability to perform work that is routine and strong attention to details
  • Knowledge of systems and functionality.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent project management, customer service, organization, and time management skills.
