Job Summary
The Ruth and Norman Rales Jewish Family Services is seeking a Grant Director of Holocaust Survivor Assistance Program who will be responsible for the management of the funding of the Holocaust Survivors Assistance Department. This individual will ensure that the Claims Conference grant, State of Florida, Department of Financial Services, KAVOD SHEF, Federation allocations, HSEAP, and all other funding for Holocaust Survivors is spent within budget and audit guidelines, ethics, compliance. Work with accounting, and homecare agencies to manage the monthly spend down of funds. The Grant Director will also manage the LSP grant, reporting, agency audit and client charts.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Social Work or other college degree and previous experience working in a social service agency managing grants of over $8 million dollars for senior population and or Holocaust Survivors.
  • Minimum two years experience in grant management for a minimum of $8 million dollars in funding.
  • Minimum three years experience in financial analytics, program budgets and compliance.
  • Minimum 1 year experience of overseeing and managing program/department audits.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with senior population.
  • Presents a commitment to quality in all job-related activities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective analytical and budgeting skills
  • Demonstrates ability to resolve problems and provide assistance and teamwork where appropriate.
  • Strong organizational skills as reflected in effective scheduling, planning and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Computer skills, Microsoft office and intermediate excel.
  • Requires flexibility with scheduling on an as needed basis
