Located in Foster City, Ronald C. Wornick Jewish Day School is a TK–8 community school. Wornick seeks an upper elementary teacher (3rd–5th) for the 2026–2027 school year to teach ELA, Social Studies, Math, and Science in our elementary program; seeking experience with progressive educational environments.Responsibilities: Provide instruction based on student needs; implement adopted programs; design engaging, standards-aligned curriculum supporting guiding principles (Project Based Learning, design thinking, performance-based assessment); build positive relationships; differentiate for diverse learners; assess frequently and effectively; create lesson/unit plans under leadership; document and report assessments/progress; use multi-modal instruction and technology; support respectful school environment and policies; provide individualized work per plans; collaborate across grade level; partner with parents; attend meetings and duties; exchange professional feedback.Ideal Candidate: 5+ years as lead classroom teacher; BA in education-related field (advanced degree preferred); CA Teaching Credential preferred; familiarity with progressive approaches (PBL, student-centered, flipped, inquiry-based); Google Classroom/G Suite/LMS a plus; lesson planning/curriculum design; love of learning; differentiation; collaborative; First Aid/CPR a plus; independent school experience a plus.Compensation and Benefits: Salary range $85,000–$110,000; additional benefit stipend; comprehensive medical/dental/vision, life and AD&D, 403(b), employee assistance program; significant tuition remission for employee children.
