We are seeking a passionate and experienced Learning Specialist to support students in both elementary and middle school, working with students who have diverse learning needs, collaborating with teachers and families, and helping ensure every child can thrive.Please submit a letter of interest and resume/CV to jobs@wornickjds.org.Essential Responsibilities:- Assess strengths and needs of students; coordinate with the Director of Learning Support- Follow learning plans and collaborate with grade level teachers on individualized goals- Facilitate teacher communication about individual students from grade to grade- Conduct classroom observations; extend learning for high achievers and guide struggling learners- Work 1:1 and with groups; build executive functioning skills (organization, time management, study strategies)- Part-time, possibility to become full timePreferred Qualifications:- Bachelor’s required; master’s in special education preferred- 3+ years classroom experience; 2+ years as a learning specialist/student support professional- Knowledge of Wilson Fundations, Orton Gillingham, and/or Lindamood Bell desired; familiarity with SST process- Collaborative, patient, empathetic; strong communication; growth mindsetCompensation and Perks:- Salary range $35,000–$50,000 per year for this part-time position (based on experience/qualifications)- Enthusiastic mission-driven colleagues; strong, supportive community and parent association
