Located in Foster City, Ronald C. Wornick Jewish Day School is a pluralistic community day school for students from TK through 8th grade. We are a warm and welcoming community with a collaborative team focused on bettering our school, supporting our students and welcoming our families. Wornick Day School is seeking an upper elementary school teacher (3rd-5th) for the 2026-2027 school year. The teacher will serve as a teacher in our elementary school and will be responsible for teaching ELA, Social Studies, Math, and Science. We are seeking an experienced teacher who has knowledge of progressive educational environments.The elementary school teacher will:- Provide an instructional program based on the needs of each student- Implement school-adopted programs as the base curriculum for the grade- Design engaging curriculum that supports the base curriculum and meets the school’s guiding principles (Project Based Learning, design thinking, performance-based assessment)- Create and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and other teachers; differentiate for diverse learners; assess learning frequently- Create lesson and unit plans under supervision of the Assistant Head of School; document student learning and report home frequently- Utilize multi-modal instruction; assist administration in creating a respectful school environment- Provide individualized work for students; collaborate with grade level peers; recognize parents as partners; use technology appropriately- Attend staff meetings and fulfill other duties; receive and provide professional feedbackIdeal candidate:- 5+ years classroom experience; Bachelor’s degree minimum (advanced preferred); California Teaching Credential preferred- Familiar with progressive approaches (PBL, student-centered, flipped classroom); experience with Google Classroom/G Suite/LMS- Experience in lesson planning and curriculum design; collaborative; first aid/CPR a plus; independent school experience a plusCompensation and Benefits:- Salary range $85,000–$110,000 (based on experience and credentials)- Additional benefit stipend; comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, life & AD&D, 403b, EAP)- Significant tuition remission for employee children enrolled at Wornick
