Project Ruth is an organization dedicated to helping people through the Orthodox Jewish conversion process with warmth, seriousness, and authenticity. We are seeking a part-time intern to help us launch and grow our Instagram and digital media presence.
This is an excellent opportunity for a creative high school or college student interested in video editing, branding, social media, Jewish education, and nonprofit work. The intern will play a meaningful role in helping shape the public voice and visual identity of a growing organization.
What You’ll Do
The intern will work closely with the Project Ruth team to create polished, engaging Instagram content, including:

Editing short-form videos and Instagram Reels

Adding grammatically correct subtitles/captions to videos

Creating simple, brand-aligned graphics and carousel posts

Formatting and polishing educational/social media content

Clipping and editing podcast or long-form video into engaging content

Assisting with maintaining a consistent visual style and posting schedule
What We’re Looking For
We are not looking for a marketing expert or someone with years of professional experience. The most important qualities are:

Strong competency in mobile video editing and copyediting

Excellent grasp of social media trends and best practices

Good aesthetic judgment and attention to detail

Reliability and responsiveness

Interest in branding, storytelling, or social media

Some Jewish literacy or familiarity with Jewish concepts/traditions
-
Willingness to learn and collaborate
-
Knowledge of the Orthodox community is a plus, but not necessary

Experience with tools like CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or similar platforms is a plus

Hours & Compensation

Flexible part-time work

Approximately 5 hours per week over the summer, with potential for this role to continue and/or grow in the fall
