Pressman Academy in Los Angeles is seeking a passionate and experienced Judaic Studies educator to join our warm, collaborative community for the 2026-2027 school year! The Role- Teach Core Subjects: Lead instruction in Torah, Parashat HaShavua, Rabbinics, Hagim, Israel, T’fillah, and ritual.- Engaging Instruction: Plan and deliver lesson plans that facilitate active learning and utilize technology as a teaching and communication tool.- Differentiated Learning: Design curriculum progressions that meet the needs of diverse learners through modifications, accommodations, and enrichment.- Collaborative Environment: Participate in department meetings and invest in meaningful relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. What We’re Looking For- Experience: Minimum of 2 years teaching upper elementary or middle school students, preferably in a Jewish Day School setting.- Language Skills: Moderate fluency or better in Hebrew reading, writing, and speaking.- Educational Background: A degree and/or certification in Judaic Studies, Education, or a related field.- Methodology: A blend of traditional and innovative teaching methods with excellent classroom management skills. Compensation & Benefits- Salary: Annual salary of $65,000 – $87,000 per year, commensurate with experience.- Full-Time Benefits: Eligible for health insurance, dental insurance, 403(b), flexible savings accounts, and more.
