Description

Summary: The Service Desk Representative is a high-profile customer service position delivering beyond our member's expectations. They contribute to member retention, as well as new membership sales. This person has the responsibility of being responsive to members; checking members in and acting as a resource for members' needs of goods and services while in the club facilities. The Service Desk Representative acts as the Center's first line of communication with members and creates a friendly and welcoming environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Greets members/guests enthusiastically and efficiently handle the check-in process
  • Answers telephone and field calls
  • Schedules massage appointments either in person or by phone
  • Assists members with purchases of retail goods and club services
  • Presents membership information to prospective members, as well as refer them to Member Sales Department
  • Works as a TEAM with all other departments

Other Functions

  • Be knowledgeable about all programs and activities offered by PJCC
  • Promotes club services and activities
  • Assists with keeping the club well stocked and clean
  • Maintains communication log and lost & found ledger
  • Handles member injury and illness incident reporting

AVAILABLE SHIFTS:

Monday–Thursday: 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Saturday–Sunday: 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Qualifications

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Competencies:

  • Must be detail oriented, organized and highly responsive with a commitment to customer service
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic accounting skills, customer service skills, results oriented, basic computer skills, ability to multi-task, and commitment to the fitness industry
  • Minimum GED/High School Diploma or equivalent
  • AED/CPR/First Aid Certified, preferred

Physical and Working Conditions

  • Ability to stand for several hours; ability to lift 25 lbs
  • Fitness club environment.
  • Must follow OSHA and PJCC safety standards
