POSITION OVERVIEW
\n\nReporting to the Senior Event Manager, the Event Manager will be part of a team dedicated to leading HGF conferences and events, ensuring that the gatherings and experiences the Foundation hosts, sponsors, and attends are high quality, financially sound, and utilize best practices in engagement and event management.
\n\nResponsibilities included, but not limited to:
\n\n- \n
- Work with the Senior Event Manager and Events Team to project manage, manage logistics, execute, and provide support for HGF conferences and events and address potential problems that may arise \n
- Project manage and execute 3-5 signature events and conferences per year \n
- Work cross functionally with HGF program teams to produce quality annual conferences \n
- Create and maintain deliverables and status reports for weekly planning meetings \n
- Develop event and communications timeline for individual events \n
- Provide speaker management when necessary \n
- Prepare detailed conference run of show and schedule \n
- Identify and recruit volunteers, create staffing plans, and host a pre-conference meeting with all staff and volunteers \n
- Support event follow-up as needed \n
- Project manage and support HGF presence at 4-6 external conferences and events \n
- Maintain master list of conferences and events \n
- Make necessary transportation, hotel, booth, supply, and other arrangements \n
- Coordinate HGF experience, event schedule, talking points, booth/display materials, and communication with on-site team \n
- Utilize internal systems, Wrike, Airtable, Bizzabo, event templates, and more, to efficiently and effectively produce and execute events \n
- Establish and maintain relationships with external event vendors and partners \n
- Stay current with changing event trends and work with Senior Event Manager to refine and develop overall event strategy \n
- Additional duties as assigned \n
Requirements
\n\nSkills and Qualifications:
\n\n- \n
- 3-5+ years of event related experience \n
- Flexible mindset and attitude \n
- Strong attention to detail \n
- Outstanding written and verbal communications skills \n
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills \n
- Strong time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects at once \n
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills \n
- Ability to work under pressure in the fast-paced environment virtually and in-person events \n
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently, as a self-starter \n
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Zoom and Adobe Creative Cloud (experience required) \n
- Knowledge of Jewish community and Jewish communal organizations preferred \n
- Travel and non-traditional hours are required for this role, 6-8 times per year for a week or more, including quarterly visits to the Agawam office \n

- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times. \n
- Ability to staff evening and weekend events on occasion \n
- Ability to travel 20% of the time \n
