Sales/Marketing: Business Development Representative

Role Overview
The Business Development Representative (BDR) supports Park Plaza Senior Living’s occupancy goals by managing the sales lifecycle from initial inquiry through commitment and move-in coordination, while serving as a frontline brand ambassador. This role is responsible for lead generation, follow-up, tours, relationship-building, and sales closing support.
The BDR collaborates closely with the Marketing Coordinator to ensure outreach and campaign execution attracts the right-fit prospects and supports a healthy sales pipeline. The BDR also partners with the Director of Institutional Advancement when marketing efforts intersect with partnerships, sponsorships, or broader institutional growth initiatives.
The BDR ensures warm handoff and coordination with internal stakeholders (Director of Community Living) while maintaining a smooth prospect-to-move-in experience.
Core Responsibilities
Sales & Lead Management
· Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective resident inquiries via phone, email, website, walk-ins, and referrals
· Manage the inquiry-to-move-in sales cycle including prompt follow-up, tours, relationship-building, and closing coordination
· Conduct tours that clearly communicate Park Plaza’s lifestyle, services, amenities,
and value proposition
· Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects and families to support occupancy goals and reduce lead drop-off
· Identify prospect needs, address questions and objections, and guide next steps toward commitment
Resident Move-In Coordination & Early Experience (Non-Admissions)
· Coordinate move-in logistics, welcome communication, and internal notifications in partnership with Community Living and Facilities
· Serve as a primary contact for residents and families during transition and early acclimation to reinforce a positive first impression
· Partner internally to support unit readiness and a smooth, welcoming move-in experience
Marketing, Brand, and Storytelling Support
· Develop a strong working understanding of Park Plaza’s brand story, mission, values, and differentiators and consistently communicate them across prospect-facing touchpoints
· Collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator on how marketing aligns to attract the proper audience and support the sales pipeline
· Apply approved brand voice and messaging during tours, follow-ups, and outreach
· Support events and campaign follow-up that generate inquiries and strengthen Park
Plaza’s presence in the marketplace
· Provide real-time feedback to Marketing on prospect responses, common questions, and messaging effectiveness
Institutional Advancement Collaboration
· Partner with the Director of Institutional Advancement when outreach, events, or marketing efforts relate to partnerships, sponsorships, or institutional growth opportunities that support sales
Systems, Reporting & Operations
· Maintain accurate prospect records and pipeline activity across systems
· Track inquiries, tours, follow-ups, commitments, and move-in coordination milestones
· Support basic reporting related to pipeline health, tour activity, and conversion performance
· Utilize AppFolio and Microsoft 365 effectively

· Organized, proactive, and pipeline-driven
· Ability to collaborate cross-functionally (Marketing, Institutional Advancement, Community Living, Facilities)

Schedule & Compensation
· Schedule: Sunday–Thursday (supports weekend tours and family availability)
· Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 annually
· Bonus: Performance-based bonus eligibility
