The job: As the Club J Specialist, you will be a key member of the Club J Leadership Team, ensuring educational excellence and compliance for children in grades K-5 by providing guidance to teachers, overseeing transportation logistics, and specialised programming.

The Core Duties:
- Communicate Club J goals and expectations to all teaching staff and provide appropriate levels of feedback and support to foster continued professional development.
- Coordinates transportation logistics for teachers and students, including the timely pick-up and drop-off of children from school to Club J. Serve as the main contact for transportation-related questions and maintain contact with parents and caretakers as necessary.
- Manage scheduling adjustments for teachers and students, track and handle student and staff absences, and make necessary changes to maintain smooth operations of transportation.
- Plan, supervise, and implement developmentally appropriate experiences for the after-school program based on the goals of the platform. Engage with children through play to broaden their learning experiences
- Create a consistent and welcoming learning environment that provides for emotional, cognitive, social and physical growth in children
The Essentials:
- High School Diploma or GED; Associate Degree preferred
- 1+ year of experience teaching in a licensed child care center or comparable program
- 1+ years of experience in youth program development
- 12 semester units of Early Childhood Education (ECE), Child Development (CD) units or units recognized by Community Care Licensing as qualifying in an afterschool setting.
- Cleared Background Check (Fingerprints, Child Abuse Index Check and Medical/TB exam)
- Valid and appropriate California Driver License
- Safe driving record that meets the OFJCC insurance requirements
- Pediatric First Aid and CPR Certified
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to communicate information clearly (both written and oral)
- Ability and desire to work independently and as a team member with the community and other employees
- Ability to multitask and adjust priorities when required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Positive, upbeat, and enthusiastic about working in a non-profit environment
