Pay Range: $45 - $55 / hour

The Place: The Oshman Family Jewish Community Center (OFJCC) is an exciting and innovative non-profit organization in the heart of Silicon Valley. The Classes: The OFJCC is seeking experienced yoga instructors, especially those specializing in Ashtanga and Vinyasa Yoga.

The Core Duties:

  • Lead safe, motivating group yoga classes in accordance with OFJCC policies and procedure
  • Provide appropriate modifications and progressions for a wide range of fitness levels
  • Deliver excellent and courteous customer service to members
  • Lead classes with clear and concise instruction, easy for the participants to follow
  • Before and after each instructed class, ensure that the Yoga studio is well maintained and adequately equipped and organized
  • Maintain active certification in a recognized certifying organization, such as the Yoga Alliance
  • Stay up to date on current trends in Yoga classes
  • Promote the group fitness schedule by encouraging class participants to try other fitness classes
  • Communicate with Group Exercise Manager on member feedback, equipment needs and operational status, scheduling, and subbing
The Essentials:
  • Experienced Instructor with RYT 200 or RYT 500 certification
  • Confident in your professionalism and a passion to motivate others
  • Current CPR/AED certification
  • Working knowledge of human anatomy, kinesiology and training principals
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of classes being taught
  • Collaborative and a flexible leader in and out of the studio
  • Demonstrate a commitment to professionalism through ongoing education, maintaining quality standards, and continual evaluation
