The Osher Marin JCC is looking for friendly, reliable, and safety-minded Lifeguards to join our team year-round. Whether you're looking for a few hours a week or a more regular part-time schedule, we have morning, evening, and weekend shifts available.

What You'll Do

As a Lifeguard, you'll help create a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable pool experience for our members and guests. Responsibilities include:

• Actively guard the pool and maintain a safe environment, rotating stations every 15–30 minutes
• Learn and consistently enforce pool rules and American Red Cross safety guidelines
• Stay alert and prepared to respond quickly and appropriately in an emergency
• Complete pool opening and closing procedures and assist with daily pool maintenance
• Install and remove lane lines based on the pool schedule
• Interact with members and guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Attend mandatory monthly Aquatics in-service trainings
• Complete incident and accident reports when necessary
• Work collaboratively with fellow Lifeguards and Aquatics staff

What We're Looking For

• Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR & AED certification or equivalent
• Reliable, responsible, and committed to keeping others safe
• Friendly and comfortable interacting with people of all ages
• A team player who contributes to a positive work environment
• Ability to stand or walk for up to four hours at a time
• Ability to swim at least 300 yards continuously
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

We are training lifeguards and will reimburse course fees after having worked 6 months continuously at the JCC.

Compensation: $17.85 - $21 per hour, depending on relevant experience.
