Director of Digital Community Platform, OpenDor Media

  • Unpacked
  • United States
  • Full-time

Description

The Director of Digital Community Platform leads the strategy, build, and ongoing management of the Unpacked Community platform, transforming passive audiences into active learners and members.

OpenDor Media is at a point where we want not only to grow our already sizable and highly engaged Unpacked audience, but also to deepen and transform our relationship with them. Our goal is to shift from a primarily one-way content model to a two-way ecosystem of learning, conversation, and belonging. This next chapter begins with the launch of the Unpacked Community, a learning and engagement platform that reimagines how we connect with our audience, moving them from content consumers to active participants in a vibrant, values-driven community. You will build this from the ground up, designing a sustainable model anchored in Unpacked content and enriched by other talented voices across our ecosystem.

This role reports directly to the CEO, with the organizational structure evolving as the initiative scales. Over time, you will build and lead a dedicated team—beginning with a Community Coordinator and Talent Relations Manager, with curriculum and data support phased in over the first 18 months.

The impact of this role is direct and measurable, shaping the understanding of Jewish identity, Israel, and Judaism for tens of thousands of young people at a critical moment. You will have access to OpenDor Media’s existing audiences and infrastructure, including 84M+ annual video views, 5.4M podcast downloads, and 82M+ creator engagements, as well as our production and distribution capabilities to support rapid experimentation, growth, and scale.

This is a full-time remote position based in the United States.
