Description

OpenDor Media (ODM) is looking for a strong Development Associate to work in tandem with our Senior Fundraiser as a maternity leave replacement beginning immediately. The position will be at least four months with the possibility of extending. The right person will be able to anticipate needs, think critically and solve problems with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. It is a full-time position requiring flexibility in working hours as we are a global company.

The ideal candidate is a creative self-starter, thrives in a fast-paced and challenging environment. Someone who is a strategic thinker, creative problem solver and is able to stay organized and focused while juggling multiple projects and priorities. The Development Associate will help in creating new opportunities and leveraging existing relationships to strengthen donor relations and bring our fundraising to new levels. The Development Associate reports to the Vice President of Development.

The Development Associate will work remotely, and can expect to meet with the Senior Fundraiser for 3-4 hours daily via Zoom. Additionally, the role requires 1 hour of work most evenings.

What You’ll Do:

Strategic & Administrative Support

  • Partner closely with the Senior Fundraiser to plan meetings, anticipate needs, and ensure effective follow-up
  • Provide high-level operational support, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, preparing correspondence, coordinating travel, and submitting expense reports
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, managing sensitive information with discretion and professionalism

Fundraising & Donor Management

  • Support donor stewardship and relationship-building through strategic collaboration and creative problem-solving
  • Draft personal donor and partner communications, including emails, proposals, reports, invitations, and event follow-up
  • Help prepare for fundraising trips by compiling target lists, drafting outreach emails, and assembling meeting materials
  • Conduct research on donors and new leads to support prospecting efforts
  • Oversee Salesforce data entry and donor list management to ensure accurate records and timely follow-up

Reporting & Project Oversight

  • Monitor donor giving and engagement by reviewing dashboards and reports, ensuring the Senior Fundraiser has actionable insights

Event & Partner Coordination

  • Manage logistics for fundraising events, parlor meetings, screenings, and focus groups, including invitation lists and follow-up
  • Collaborate on Federation and community partnership efforts, ensuring timely execution and documentation of deliverables

Requirements

What You Have:

  • Excellent English writing skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience working in fundraising or for a non-profit is a plus
  • A positive service-oriented attitude
  • Reliable and able to work remotely and quickly and efficiently with flexible hours
  • Detail oriented, responsible, highly organized and great follow-through skills
  • Team player with excellent communication skills; and ability to multitask in a fast paced environment, switching focus as necessary to accommodate deadlines and priorities
  • Patient, flexible and calm under pressure

Salary

Our target salary range for this position is 10,000 - 12,000 NIS per month. The final salary for this role will be determined based on careful consideration of a variety of factors, such as the candidate's exact location, experience in similar roles, and expertise related to the qualifications.
