OpenDor Media is hiring a freelance podcast producer to produce a new limited series eight episodes podcast filmed live in Los Angeles. The ideal person has a keen sense of what works and what doesn’t in audio and is a natural storyteller and experience with filmed podcasts. Ideally, they have experience with and insight into conversation-driven shows and understand the challenges of filming live. This position reports to our Head of Podcasts.

What You’ll Do:

• Help develop and maintain creative vision, tone and structure of podcast
• Manage production schedule
• Strategize promoting the show and help create a marketing plan
• Supervise and coordinate social media strategy
• Finding and scheduling guests
• Coach talent and guests for audio, which may include scheduling and conducting pre-interviews or organizing host prep documents
• Oversee recording, editing and distribution of each episode
• Working with editors and sound designer/mixer
• Final QC on all technical aspects

What You Have:

• Experience with filmed podcasts
• Audio production and supervision of audio editors
• Possess excellent English writing abilities, enabling you to craft clear, compelling and grammatically correct content
• Adept at conveying ideas and information clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally
• Track record of driving results and are highly motivated to set and achieve ambitious goals
• Creative thinking, ability to come up with innovative solutions and a strategic thinker capable of planning and executing long-term strategies
• Strong management skills, capable of leading projects and teams efficiently even in remote settings
• Success in being a collaborative team player, excelling in environments that require the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced settings

Our salary range for this project is $500 - $750 per episode. The final salary for this role will be determined based on careful consideration of a variety of factors, such as the candidate's exact location, experience in similar roles, and expertise related to the qualifications.
