Contractor Description

OneTable seeks a dynamic Shabbat Content Curator, reporting to the Senior Director, Campaigns + Growth. This content curator and creator will work up to approximately 5 hours per week through December 2026. They will develop newsletter and corresponding social media content designed for a Gen Z and Young Millennial audience.

This work directly supports OneTable’s mission by involving new participants, driving social engagement, and activating meaningful OneTable participation. The role is a combination of writing, content, and creativity. It is a strategic content partnership that blends Jewish and Shabbat wisdom, cultural fluency, and digital savvy.

We take Shabbat seriously and we’re authentically inviting in our approach. We’re looking for a Shabbat Content Curator that will be thoughtful, knowledgeable, accessible, grounded, and confident.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Weekly Newsletter Content: Author a short-form piece (up to 200 words) highlighting the depth of Shabbat that may take the form of a reflection, teaching, question, meditation, or brief ritual framing. This will include original content, refreshed materials from the OneTable resource library, and relevant resources from partner organizations.
• Social Media Assets: Create a weekly corresponding social media post (e.g. reel script, carousel copy, caption video), with a focus on Instagram, to share teachings with the broader OneTable social following and community.

Key Qualifications:

We’re looking for an individual who has an established background in Jewish education (e.g. rabbi, cantor, Jewish educator, experiential educator) and demonstrated experience in creating Jewish content for young adults in their 20s and 30s. The ideal contractor should be able to translate Jewish and Hebrew texts, ritual, and tradition into contemporary, accessible language that will be shared in email newsletters and social media posts, including potentially on-camera videos.

Consulting Fee:

In consideration for the above services, OneTable will pay the Consultant a fee of $50/hour for 5 hours per week. If your regular hourly rate is higher, let’s talk.

Location:

This contract position is entirely remote and must be based in the United States.
