Role Overview
The Associate Director of Development & Events plays a key role in supporting and executing One Israel Fund’s event-based fundraising strategy. This position works closely with the EVP, Development leadership, and the Marketing and Design teams to plan, coordinate, and implement events that advance donor engagement and revenue goals. The role is execution-focused, highly collaborative, and essential to the organization’s development operations.
Responsibilities
Event Planning, Execution & Revenue Support

Support the planning and execution of One Israel Fund’s major events, including summer events, regional parlor meetings, and the Annual Gala.

Coordinate event timelines, budgets, run-of-show documents, and post-event reporting in partnership with senior leadership.

Ensure all events align with One Israel Fund’s brand, mission, and donor engagement objectives.
Fundraising & Engagement Events

Manage logistics for large-scale events, including venue coordination, vendor scheduling, staffing support, and on-site execution.

Serve as a key operational partner for the Annual Gala, supporting production, honorees, speakers, seating coordination, and guest experience.

Work closely with the Development and Marketing teams on sponsorship fulfillment, ticketing logistics, and promotional materials.
Cross-Team Coordination & Stakeholder Support

Coordinate internally with the EVP, Development leadership, and Marketing and Design teams to ensure alignment across messaging, materials, and execution.

Prepare briefing materials and logistical support for senior leadership participating in events and donor-facing engagements.

Serve as a primary operational point of contact for event vendors, consultants, and external partners.

Trustee engagement, where applicable, will be coordinated in collaboration with senior leadership.
Budget, Vendor & Logistics Management

Track event budgets and expenses, support vendor negotiations, and ensure adherence to approved financial parameters.

Coordinate travel, materials, speaker logistics, and follow-up processes for national and regional events.

Support timely payments, accurate reconciliation, and efficient operational workflows.
Evaluation & Continuous Improvement

Assist with post-event evaluations focused on attendance, revenue performance, expenses, and donor engagement.

Contribute insights and recommendations to improve future events and fundraising initiatives.
Qualifications

5+ years of nonprofit development and event management experience, with exposure to revenue-generating events.

Experience supporting large-scale fundraisers such as galas, benefit dinners, or regional events.

Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple timelines and priorities.

Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills; collaborative and proactive team member.

Comfortable working closely with senior leadership and internal teams.

Experience with CRM systems, event platforms, and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.

Willingness to travel domestically for key events and parlor meetings.

Highly organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and calm under pressure.
