Bikur Cholim of Greater Washington (BCGW) is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Care Coordinator Manager to join our team. The Care Coordinator Manager serves as the head of the care management team, maintaining full oversight of daily operations while providing direct clinical service to clients. This role is responsible for supervising care coordinators, driving operational efficiency, ensuring high standards of service delivery, and managing an active caseload. This role is central to assessing client needs, connecting them with vital resources, and coordinating volunteer services to ensure seamlessly delivered support.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations Oversight: Direct daily departmental operations, refine service workflows, and ensure high standards of efficiency and service delivery across the care management department.
- Team Leadership & Supervision: Serve as the functional head of the care management team, providing direct supervision, guidance, and ongoing support to care coordinators.
- Client Intake & Assessment: Conduct thorough intakes to assess client needs, serve as a primary contact for complex cases, and coordinate tailored support services.
- Service Scheduling & Volunteer Placement: Schedule required services and collaborate on identifying and placing volunteers to fulfill client support requests.
- Quality Assurance & Collaboration: Maintain high-quality, coordinated care by conducting regular team meetings, monitoring service tracking, and ensuring full compliance with BCGW standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW), Human Services, or a related field required (MSW/LCSW or equivalent counseling degree preferred). Prior experience in healthcare, care coordination, or social services supervision is highly desired.
- Mission-Aligned & Cultural Awareness: Strong alignment with BCGW’s mission, deep familiarity with Jewish customs and traditions, and comfort engaging with community members across all Jewish backgrounds.
- Leadership & Stress Management: Proven ability to manage operations, lead a team, and maintain a calm, reassuring demeanor in time sensitive and emotionally charged situations.
- Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Exceptional active listening skills, empathy, and utmost respect for client confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and database or care tracking software. Working knowledge of Square Space and Social Media platforms a plus.
