Description

The America-Israel Cultural Foundation (AICF) is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and positive Development & Operations Associate to support our growing U.S. operations and fundraising efforts.

This role combines office administration, donor development support, grants coordination, and event assistance.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional interested in nonprofit development, philanthropy, Jewish communal work, and Israel-focused initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grant writing and development materials, including proposals, reports, donor updates, thank you letters, and other fundraising materials
  • Manage grant tracking, proposal submissions, reporting deadlines, and related documentation
  • Support fundraising campaigns, donor stewardship, and development initiatives
  • Maintain donor records, gift processing, and reporting in CRM systems
  • Assist with grant tracking, proposals, and reporting deadlines
  • Support donor communications, acknowledgements, and impact materials
  • Coordinate fundraising and donor cultivation events
  • Support the organization’s fiscal sponsorship program and related documentation
  • Assist with nonprofit compliance, state charity registrations, and administrative operations
  • Support scheduling, meetings, and board-related materials
  • Handle general office coordination and banking-related tasks

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in nonprofit administration, development, fundraising, or operations
  • Excellent writing, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, polished, and compelling materials
  • Experience with developing and writing grant proposals, donor communications, reports, and fundraising materials
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office; CRM experience preferred
  • Interest in Jewish communal work, Israel, arts and culture, or philanthropy strongly preferred
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with a can-do and flexible attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Hebrew - advantage.

*Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Compensation: Full-time 40 hours per week; $60k - $70k, commensurate with experience.
  • This is a hybrid position based in New York City, with in-office presence required 2–3 days per week.
