Preschool Support Teachers & After-School Teachers
The Nadel Center for Early Childhood Education (NCECE) at Congregation B’nai Israel (CBI) is a large, well-established early childhood program in South Florida, serving more than 400 children from infancy through Pre-K.
We are seeking passionate, dedicated, flexible, and nurturing educators to join our exceptional teaching team for the current school year. Our Preschool Support Teachers/Floaters and After-School Teachers play an important role in supporting our classrooms, maintaining consistency and continuity throughout the school day, and helping ensure high-quality care and learning experiences across our program.

Responsibilities:
- Support classroom teachers with daily learning experiences, routines, transitions, and child supervision.
- Foster safe, clean, organized, engaging, and inclusive indoor and outdoor learning environments.
- Assist with classroom setup and cleanup.
- Support children’s behavior and social-emotional development using positive guidance strategies.
- Maintain active supervision of children and help ensure their health, safety, and well-being at all times.
- Build warm, positive relationships with children, families, and fellow team members.
- Adapt to the needs of different classrooms, age groups, and teaching teams.
- Collaborate with lead teachers and school administrators and follow established classroom and program procedures.
- Attend required school meetings and trainings, as well as occasional special events.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; CDA, Associate’s degree, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
- Experience working with young children in a preschool, school, child care, camp, or similar setting.
- Completion of Florida’s required child care training (45 hours) and/or an active Florida Staff Credential is preferred
- Patient, flexible, dependable, and nurturing approach to working with young children
- Ability to collaborate and follow direction from lead teachers and school administrators
- Ability to meet all applicable regulatory and licensing requirements, including completion of required training
- Familiarity with Jewish traditions and holidays or a willingness to learn through study and participation in our school community
Job Types: Full-time and Part-time
Part-time positions are available, approximately 1:00–6:00 p.m.
Starting pay begins at $16.00 per hour for candidates who meet the minimum qualifications. Higher starting rates may be available based on education, credentials, and relevant experience.
