About the Role
The Canadian Friends of Herzog Hospital is seeking a driven, self-motivated Part-Time Development Director to lead and expand our fundraising initiatives across Canada. Working remotely from a home office, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the mission of Jerusalem’s Herzog Medical Center—a renowned leader in geriatric, respiratory, mental health, and medical rehabilitation care.
Key Responsibilities
- Donor Acquisition & Growth: Identify, qualify, and cultivate new individual, corporate, and institutional donor prospects across Canada.
- Direct Solicitation: Plan, execute, and lead major gift solicitations, working directly with high-net-worth individuals and key stakeholders.
- Donor Stewardship: Build and maintain meaningful, long-term relationships with existing donors to optimize retention and expand annual giving.
- Grant Writing & Management: Research, draft, and submit compelling grant proposals to family foundations, corporate giving programs, and private foundations.
- Campaign & Strategic Oversight: Collaborate with board members to design and implement targeted fundraising strategies and special campaigns.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven success in fundraising, donor relations, and major gift fundraising.
- Core Skills: Demonstrated success in direct solicitation, major gift cultivation, and strategic donor stewardship.
- Grant Track Record: A strong track record of securing foundation and corporate grants is highly desirable.
- Work Environment: Highly organized and self-directed with a dedicated, professional home office setup.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a passion for articulating the critical healthcare mission of Herzog Medical Center.
