Temple Judea is a dynamic Reform congregation of over 800 households located in Palm Beach Gardens.

Our motto is Joyous Judaism that Inspires Action and we are currently seeking a part-time religious school teacher for the 2026/2027 school year that embodies our motto!

Open position is for a floater - someone who can help with some of our larger classes and also be a substitute when needed.

25 Sundays from 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and an occasional community building Shabbat or holiday program which you will also be paid for.

Requirements:

In addition to prior teaching experience, applicants should have:

1) a deep commitment to Jewish education and love working with children

2) a bachelor's degree as well as prior teaching and /or youth leadership experience

3) excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

4) an understanding of the central themes of Jewish education - such as holidays, lifecycles etc.

5) the ability to implement hands-on, interactive and engaging lesson plans and teaching with enthusiam

6) classroom management skills

7) a clean background check

In addition to a very competitive hourly salary, teachers also receive a free annual membership to our temple
