ABOUT YOU

The Information Technology Generalist will ensure sound hardware and software functionality and support for 70-plus users on various technology platforms and applications. In addition, you will provide oversight of all audio and video requests and setup procedures and will be responsible for livestreaming our worship experiences.

The successful IT Generalist will have experience in computer software, hardware, and various internet applications, networks, and operating systems, including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Google Workspace, Zoom, Monday.com, SimpleTix, MIP, Jabber, and Salesforce. The ideal candidate will also have great troubleshooting abilities, attention to detail, and outstanding customer service skills.

WORK SCHEDULE

Our team works on a hybrid schedule. All of our team members must be flexible and able to adapt to short- and long-term shifts in their job duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The key responsibilities of the IT Generalist include keeping technology processes running, and updating and troubleshooting hardware and software as needed.

  • Set up workstations with computers, remote work logins, and necessary peripheral devices.
  • Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support for users to operate new software, computer equipment, and the phone system.
  • Onboarding new staff with equipment and systems.
  • Manages applications and user lists of Ruvna, Monday.com, Vimeo, Microsoft including Outlook inboxes and mailing lists.
  • Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work.
  • Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging, etc.).
  • Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule.
  • Identify computer or network equipment shortages, place equipment orders, and track expenses.
  • Review and analyze audio-visual requests to determine the IT support level for the required assignment of priorities and scheduling. Responsible for setting up AV equipment for events during regular work hours. Offer such support as needed for services, classes, and events.
  • Customer service assistance with online tools such as Zoom.
  • Support staff with general IT needs.
  • Weekly Shabbat livestream testing.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Technology

  • Experience with operating systems, AV equipment, and how to handle issues.
  • Desire and ability to quickly learn other systems in use.

  • Salary range: $60,000-65,000; commensurate with experience.
